For Shakira, hair has always been part of her identity. Through decades of performing and personal reinvention, her waves and curls have been a constant—and caring for them has been an ongoing challenge. Years of searching for products that could meet the needs of her multiple textures sparked the idea for isima.

Recognizing that her frustrations were shared by others, the Colombian artist partnered with scientific experts to help develop haircare that embraces complexity. Rooted in Latin heritage, isima brings together cultural understanding and advanced science to address the diverse needs often overlooked by mainstream haircare.
