THE HAIR GENERATION

For Colombian sisters Laura and Marcela García, The Hair Generation began with two different hair journeys and a shared desire to create something they could believe in.

After experiencing hair loss during a difficult health journey, Marcela had embraced wigs as part of her life. Laura, meanwhile, noticed her own hair becoming thinner and less vibrant. Searching for care that met her needs, she worked with a laboratory to develop a scalp oil inspired by traditional hair oiling and formulated with microalgae from Tahiti.

What began as Laura’s personal ritual became something the sisters shared. For Marcela, the experience offered a renewed connection to her hair—and to herself. Together, they decided to bring that sense of care to others.

The Hair Generation launched in 2025, bringing their personal experiences into a brand grounded in honesty, empathy and community. Laura’s curiosity and hands-on approach to product development complement Marcela’s decade of storytelling and connection as a content creator.

At the heart of their vision is an understanding that hair carries personal meaning. Through The Hair Generation, they invite people to make room for care, embrace their own stories and find connection in the everyday ritual.
