MEET THE FOUNDER

Visionaries of Beauty

For Nour Tayara and Rodrigo Peñafiel, Mexico offered inspiration for a different vision of luxury beauty. Together, they founded AORA México to bring the country’s color, creativity and cultural richness into a category long associated with European capitals. Their ambition was to create makeup that celebrates self-expression while rethinking how beauty products are designed and packaged.

Tayara brought nearly 13 years of experience at L’Oréal, where he worked in product development and explored more sustainable approaches to beauty. With Peñafiel, he translated that experience into a shared creative vision: expressive makeup, distinctive design and plastic-free packaging, with Mexico at the center of the story.

That vision informs everything from the brand’s vibrant shades to its use of Mexican-origin ingredients and packaging made from tin, aluminum and wood. Through AORA, the founders are building their own interpretation of modern luxury—one that reflects the energy of Mexico and invites people to be bold, experiment and take up space.
